AltarQ is a prime example of the new generation of party entertainers.
Combining unique mixing skills and vinyl overlays with live performance of original compositions, Bionic and Mike Barber bring to the stage a production which includes styles of trance, epic, progressive, psych-trance, techno, and tribal to name a few.

The two entities met in January of 2001.
Bionic had some ideas he wanted Barber to put to track and the two went to work. After a few flawless and almost "meant to be" sessions, they both found that they had much more in store than just a couple of tracks. Hence, the carnation of AltarQ. Taking their hybrid live-PA and turntables to the stage for the first time in July 2001 at Crystal Dreams in El Paso, Texas, AltarQ has opened many eyes.

Bionic has often been called El Paso's own "trance prodigy."
With a beginning interest in industrial music, he quickly developed a taste and reputation for trance. He has been dropping wax since 1995 and shows no signs of quitting. He began with a series of club events known as Electrolush in 1996 that propelled his popularity and held a residency at The Ohm and X-Factory for four years until relocating to Phoenix. As the only resident DJ to play for the Caffeine Tour in 2000, Bionic knows how to bring a crowd to its knees or send them flying to the rafters. While in Phoenix, he is working toward his Electronic Engineering degree and plans to use his knowledge to design for and enhance the entertainment industry.

Mike Barber's interest began in a similar manner through industrial music. He has had 10 years of experience in composing as well as concert sound and lighting production. His past includes the techno-industrial sounds of his band Ulcer that gained notoriety in the club scene as well as radio. More information on Ulcer is available at www.UlcerMusic.com.
Mike is a master pianist/keyboardist who integrates the hypnotizing beats with artful string pads and aggressive stabs. After relocating to Denver, Barber has continued pursuing his interest in concert sound and lighting production while working with Bionic on AltarQ.

With over 17 years of combined experience, Bionic and Barber possess the knowledge and capability of delivering and executing an excellent stage performance.
Whether the party is 300 or 3000 people strong, the performance is consistently an unforgettable experience for the partygoer as well as Bionic and Barber.
"Enveloping the people for that short period of time while on stage"... "it's all about the experience."
